Fosca is an Italian language novel by Iginio Ugo Tarchettiinitially published in serial form.
The story takes you into the mind of Giorgio, who is torn between two women who could hardly be more opposite. Se la prima volta mi aveva straziato l’anima, ora, studiandolo per l’esame, mi ha davvero sorpreso! It has elements of a satirical social commentary and yet is also an engaging story of love I have been wanting to read this book for a while as it was used as the basis for the Stephen Sondheim musical Passionwhich I really love.
